On April 21st we celebrated our 2 year anniversary. As James and I looked back over the last years it’s amazing how much we have been through and it seems like we have been married a lot longer than we have. We took off early from work on our actual anniversary and spent the evening at home together, our favorite thing to do. We watched our wedding video which was a little bitter sweet. It’s amazing to think back to that wonderful day where we were so happy and full of dreams and now to look back just 2 years later and see how much has changed both in our lives and personally. To watch that video and have both our fathers gone along with several of our friends who we thought we would always be close to is a bit sad. But we have been very blessed over the last 2 years as well and thank God for his provisions and love. We have grown together during these years and have a deeper love than we did before. It is truly amazing how your love grows over time, something I didn’t realize would happen.
We celebrated our anniversary the following weekend, April 25th, with a trip to Chappell Hill outside of brenham. We spent the day driving the country roads, visiting the Antique Rose Emporium -where we bought a saliva plant, went to a lavender farm, and finally checked into our b&b. We stayed at Lillian Farms in Chappel Hill, a beautiful b&b on 250 acres. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and all the animals; they had cows, horses, mule, dogs, and 2 geese. The bluebonnets were still blooming and were so beautiful, it looked like a blue sea.
Here are some pics from our trip.
