For my birthday this past February, we took the kids to Waco for the day. Thanks to our Pogo Pass we had free admission to the Mayborn & Dr. Pepper Museums. (more details on that below)
We started our day at the Mayborn Museum which was our favorite part of the trip. It was so big that we could’ve spent the whole day there playing but had to rush through it a little so we could get to lunch. We loved it & will definitely be going back! I highly recommend it but suggest going after lunch so you can spend the whole afternoon there.
The fact that animals this large once roamed the earth is so fascinating to me!
So many fun surprises on each floor
When we went they had a traveling Ninja Turtle exhibit which the boys loved
The kiddos got to create tracks for marbles in the Women of Stem exhibit
A tornado stimulator…Caden was in love!
This water area was their favorite exhibit at the museum
So much fun with bubbles
They have a huge outdoor area set up as a town. They have a general store, school, church, & a couple different style houses
Learning how to use our selfie stick 🙂
Anytime James uses my phone he leaves me a selfie LOL
Cute little schoolhouse
Next, we went to the Dr. Pepper Museum
Caden got called up to do a taste testing
Overall there wasn’t much to see or do at the Dr. Pepper Museum, not something we would recommend
Magnolia is just down the street from the Dr. Pepper Museum so we walked over there to check it out. This is the 2nd time we’ve been so didn’t spend too much time there.
This picture pretty much sums up his personality ha
And then we became stalkers & drove by Chip & JoJo’s house. It’s right on a busy highway so I just held my phone out as we drove by.
The “shed” from the final season of the show
Waco has so many fun things to do & with the Pogo Pass we have another free trip to the Mayburn Museum & the Waco Zoo which I plan to use this fall. If you’ve never heard of this pass I highly recommend it. It saves you so much money on kid-friendly sites in both Austin & Waco such as the Austin Aquarium, Urban Air, Dart em Up, Texas Star Games, & More!
