A few weeks ago we had the chance to go visit family & it was a much needed break from the hustle & bustle of the big city. First we drove to east Texas to visit my Grandmother, she recently moved back there from Harlingen and it was her 1st time to meet the boys. We had intended to visit my dad’s grave while we where there but after the long drive & a huge ugly delay at walmart (it’s a long story that I’m trying to forget) it was too late after our visit. We drove from there to my sister Kristi’s house & got there in time for dinner; it was a long day in the car for the boys and Joshua cried for the last 15 minutes of it because of that. But they had a blast jumping on the trampoline with Nipper (the dog), riding 4 wheelers to herd the cattle & visit the tank to look at the alligator (yes real), & just running around the country with their cousins. The next day we drove into College Station to go swimming at my favorite pool growing up Adamson Lagoon & all our cousins on both sides of the family went with us. We spent our last night at my mom’s house where Caden took turns driving each of us around on the lawn mower. It’s his favorite thing about visiting her house & he even asks about the mowers when he talks to her on phone all the time. ha. It was a nice to be back “home” & relax with family.
